Beginning of Steve Jobs Manga now on sale in Japan
If you thought a thorough reading of Walter Isaacson’s biography of Steve Jobs was the ultimate way to remember the Apple co-founder’s amazing life and career, then you haven’t heard about the new manga that just went on sale in Japan…
Okay, maybe this graphic series won’t have quite the literary depth of Isaacson’s worth, but it’ll sure be more accessible to those who are repelled by thick tomes like the one Isaacson wrote about Jobs. The manga’s illustrations were drawn by Mari Yamazaki, and the plot is apparently based off the biography referenced above. The first chapter has Jobs asking Isaacson to write the book, and those in Japan can find it in the current issue of Kiss, a comic anthology. If you want to know what future chapters were entail, it seems safe to say a flip through the biography would provide a good idea.
So do you feel your Steve Jobs education was complete by reading the book, or will this manga make your reading list? Plenty of previews are already popping up, if you interested in taking a peak. Of course, you’ll need to be able to make sense of the Japanese characters present on these pages, but that’s a small hurdle for the serious Steve Jobs fans out there, right?
