Fish Out of Water
Fish Out Of Water! Universal
(4.5 stars with 10993 User Ratings)
We pity developers like Halfbrick who face the challenge of trying to top their earlier work like Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride. Really, how do you do better? In Halfbrick’s case, it appears their strategy is to keep things simple, so Fish Out of Water will have you playing as a fish and skipping across waves while handling obstacles like weather and crabs. Check it out for 99 cents.

It’s time for more turn-based word battles with your friends. If you haven’t had enough Scrabble-style gameplay lately, Bookworm Heroes should do the trick. It’s free to play, so even if the genre feels worn it won’t hurt to give it a go.
Vendetta Online iPad Only
(4 stars with 109 User Ratings)
For those who are ready to dive into a huge space MMO for iOS, look no further than Vendetta Online. It introduces an interesting pricing model that lets you pay 99 cents for one month with the game (and another 99 cents per month after that). Vendetta Online will have to be pretty great to retain players from month to month, but we’re not ruling that possibility out based on first impressions.
