Instagram gets Even Better. View Photo Maps of Friends and Family in Instagram 3.0
Well now the application has gotten even better with a pretty hefty update released today. With Instagram 3.0, users will now be able to access location data for their photos on a map, displaying where the photos were taken. Any photo you have previously taken will be available for map view. When you first launch the updated version, you’ll be presented with a whole host of photos that have location data enabled, asking you if you want to add them to your map view. This will be neat when browsing other users’ profiles and seeing just where exactly that good looking photo was taken.
In addition to this change, the way your photos are viewed has also improved, allowing for a map view, a continuous feed view, and the original grid layout view. One thing that was a bit annoying for users in the original feed view on a user’s profile was having to hit the “load more photos” button to view more photos, which is no longer the case, as the photos refresh automatically now.
While there are no new filters, the upload screen has been refined and revamped with all the same sharing options, but a cleaner look.
