New update to Facebook app allows you to change your cover photo on the go
When Facebook introduced the Cover Photo feature a couple years ago, it gave users the ability to further customize their profiles in a way that showed personality and creativity. However, a lot of people were frustrated that the only way to change that cover photo was through Facebook’s web service, not the iOS app that so many primarily used.
That has all changed with Facebook’s release of version 5.6 of its iOS app. Now you can change the cover photo—either by taking a photo or choosing from your device’s library—in just a matter of a few taps. All you have to do is tap on your profile view, tap your cover photo, select the method of choosing a new photo, and then arrange it as needed for the perfect look you’re going for.
Additional portions of the update allow for you to create group messages in fewer taps, as well as a simpler way to name and find group conversations. So, if these features are ones that excite you, go on and update your Facebook app. Personally, I still prefer the full-functionality of the web service to the iOS app, so hopefully we’ll see continual improvements made to the app over time.
