NimbleBit to Release “Nimble Quest,” an RPG to Follow Up Tiny Tower and Pocket Planes
If it weren’t for the games that have come before it, the next title from NimbleBit probably wouldn’t be sparking much excitement based on the screenshots alone… But when you’re the creator of games like Tiny Tower and Pocket Planes, it doesn’t take much to get iOS gamers buzzing about what’s next… We now know the new game will be called Nimble Quest, and from the look of it, there won’t be too much in common with NimbleBit’s previous efforts.
Scheduled to release sometime in the coming months, Nimble Quest is described as an action role-playing game that challenges the player to lead adventurers through endless levels while adding new members and confronting enemies. Multiplayer features are in the works, too, as the NimbleBit team (brothers Ian and David Marsh) are touting “special time-limited Guild Quests,” among other elements of gameplay. Here’s the brothers on the basics:
“… Lead a conga line of heroes to glory against hordes of enemies across an endless number of stages. Swipe to steer your unstoppable (seriously, you can’t stop) party as they cut a path of destruction through levels filled with different enemies and power-ups. Collect loot to unlock more heroes and upgrade your arsenal of power-ups to maximize the power of your party. Can your party make it from the tranquility of the Forest to the fire and brimstone of the Depths?”
So there you have it—the next big thing from NimbleBit. If all these gameplay elements come together the way the Marsh brothers obviously hope they will, few gamers will be wondering what happened to the sim management.
