The Hulk Gets Infinity Blade-esque in the Marvel Avengers Initiative
Everyone knows that Infinity Blade Dungeons is still somewhere down the pipeline, and we’re all pretty sure it’ll be awesome when it gets here, but until that happens maybe we can get by with Marvel Avengers Initiative . The new Hulk-themed game comes from Wideload Software, and it’s very clearly an Infinity Blade-style action RPG. So now we look to Marvel fans to gauge the level of excitement about this upcoming Hulk hack n’ slash.
The game is now available for $6.99. For that price, gamers will get access to the first episode of Marvel Avengers Initiative. Seeing as Wideload’s own Alex Seropian has admitted that the game takes cues from Infinity Blade, we think it’s safe to assume that Hulk will be exploring a game world and upgrading all his features as he fights foe after foe with strategic swipes, dodges, and blocks. Got to admit, it sounds like fun to upgrade the costume and accessories of a comic character that’s as well known as Hulk. And he’s probably just the first of many judging from Seropian’s comment about coming episodes.
We don’t know much else about Marvel Avengers Initiative, but luckily it won’t be long before it’s in the hands of gamers and all is known. Seropian says his team aims to deliver engaging gameplay, complete story, and true-to-character experiences… Can it do all that while borrowing so heavily from Infinity Blade? I’m sure Marvel fans will cast the final vote in coming days.
